Misfiring and running on 3

Hello wondering if anyone can help. My brother has had some running issues with his 182, kept misfiring and running on 3 cylinders and the eml light was on. I suggested he took it to AMD essex where I take my RS for any work, with they done a full service (which more importantly they changed the spark plugs). After this the car run better but now about a week later it has started its old problems again and the eml light has come back on.

Would you suggest HT leads and coil pack next? Any recommendations or other suggestions?

i dont know if this makes any difference but the only performance parts fitted is a K&N induction and a Miltek cat back

Get it on a machine and plugged in so it diagnosed properly. Otherwise you'll be changing

Injectors

They all fail at some point though.

Where would you suggest sourcing the injectors from? Had a quick look but I don't really know what Im looking for

Id say its the Leads... I had this problem twice on my ph1 around this time of year, it seemed to be the cold and wet weather that caused the problems.

I sourced a 2nd hand lead off a member on here which was fine, then a few weeks later another went so i just replaced the lot... No problems again since!

I agree with DannyR though, get it looked at before spending money on things you dont actually need to.

You've answered it yourself, they pick up very little on 172's
