Misfiring when engines cold

I've had this happen a couple of times in the past few weeks , but only when the cars been left , say overnight and the engines gone completely cold .

OBD11 scanner throwing up the code P0300 random multiple misfire . Which i can know can cover a mutlitude of things . It did it this time last year , but after it's major service , cambelt , aux belt , spark plugs etc ..... it went away . So i'm sort of ruling out the spark plugs for now and looking in other areas . HT leads , coilpack ,injectors , one of the lambda sensors or Cat ?

Once the engines fully warmed up it runs fine , idles at 700rpm . The exahust does sound a bit loud , but it's got a Yozza system so sounds loud and burbles anyway .

If it was the injectors , HT leads or coilpack . Would the problem go away once the engine is up to full temp ? Or maybe i have a leak where the Cat joins the exhaust and once it expands a bit due to the heat of the exhaust it seals the leak ? Or the lambda sensor is hot then it runs fine ?

When i was warming up the car yesterday for a good 10 mins , i was revving the engine around 2000rpm to warm it up quicker , then i revved it up to about 4000rpm thats when the orange fault light down on the right hand side flickered . I reset it with the scanner and it idled smoothly after that .

Anybody have any ideas it would be much appreciated .

Im having the same kind of problems with mine. Someone suggested it was the first heated lambda sensor. Maybe try switching the sensors around and see if you have the same problems? If the sensor has problems heating on cold mornings it may not read correctly until the actual engine has warmed up therefore heating the sensor.
I havent actually rectified the problem but passing on what has been suggested to me.
Worth a squirt :)

Mine misses when i drive home from work when the temp is 8 degrees and the car's been stood all day. Does it forabout half a mie and then is fine!

When it,s cold and below 3 degrees it ticks over at 1500rpm gradually dropping to normal after a couple of miles.

I reckon these cars don't lke mild damp weather???

Mine hasn't done it for a few days now , was damp when it did and had been left outside overnight . I was thinking of swapping the lambda sensors over to see if that made any difference or like i said , maybe a leak where the exhaust manifold joins the Cat as it sounded like it was blowing , but the sounds gone away . I'm gonna monitor it , see how it goes for now . Mine always idles at around 1000rpm even in extreme cold weather then drops off to 700rpm which is normal , except for when it was misfiring when it did cut out once .Thanks for your replies :D
