Miss Fire - Deep Joy!!

Strange missfire at very low revs, when pulling from junctions, parking e.t.c. but really anything where less than 2000 rpm is needed. It also happens if you are coasting in a high gear, and then put your foot down, splutters and then goes??

Car has done 92k and car has not had in my ownership

Ignition leads
Ignition pack / coil pack
Fuel filter

But has had new correct plugs last year.

Anyone with any pointers...:S

Leads or coilpack. Had the same on a 1.2 a few days ago. Low down misfiring, upper range fine. Is the idle rougher as usual?

As a Bears arse yes!

Pull one lead at a time. When the idle doesn't change, you'll know which cylinder is misfiring.

Injector is another option. Check the spark plug on the misfiring cylinder. If it's pretty dark compared to the others, coil or lead is shot. If it's very light coloured your injector is gone.

i have this very same thing on my (new to me) 182

Well started with the cheapest option first and fitted a new set of Renault HT leads this afternoon and it's sorted it, also cleaned the throttle body out too as it would have been rude not too, that was coated in a nice layer of black sh**e. I now have a perfectly running 172 again. All good, thanks for the pointers peeps.
