mk 1 clio does it have a throtal position sensor??

  clio 1.4RT
Hi all as the title realry.

Does my 98 mk1 clio have a throtal position sensor?

I ask as it seams that all the power is in the first few mm of travel in the accelerator. If i press down more then there doesnt seem to be much power there. Its as if only light touching the pedal gives more fuel then if i were to floor it.

Its hard to explain...

all the responce all the power seems to be in the first few cm on travel when i press the accelarator no matter what gear i am in.

I can press the pedle all the way down but i dont get any sort of grunt. And yes i know its only an old 1.4 but it lack any deep power.

My line of thinking is that if it does have a throtal postion sensor if may need adjusting or renewing, but i dont know what it is on my engine or what it looks like.

Pls help
