right i start my new job at the end of next month when i gt back from holiday and am hoping to get a new car.

my finances are sorted so not interested in any of the 'sort out your finances' shizzel.

am also looking to save for the majority if not all of it so what do you think would be best?

a mk2 ph1/2 1*2 or a mk 2 ph1 vee?

these are the only cars im interested in really and have moves on from the fit this engine in this and punto turbo blah blah blah.

so some seriouse help wanted.

wats the running costs of a vee ect ect

0ok so a vee is a no no lol, whats the best 1*2 to go for???? like the 182's but are they really worth the extra money over a 172.

yes, they are fecking cheap now anyway mofo and you'll get a one only a few years old with low milage for very little more money over a 172.

they do 33 mpg everywhere. can do 40mpg if you cruise at 70 too.

they are very cheap to run.

Tbh I think your bet off going for a 172/182, more practical for everyday use, plus you can get your mrs & kid in it.

If you want a liquid/black gold vee - your looking at mk2's. As 99% of mk1's are silver, they also came in blue (only 8 of them though) and red like clarkie has (I think there were about 13 of them)

Tax for a year is £210.00 as for servicing, i'm yet to find out, I know it won't be cheap though.

Assuming a round 97p p/litre thats circa 22.07 MPG.

Thats pretty good considering I am reading about 182's bringing home mid 20's.
