mk1 1.8 questions

Car  Clio on SL 2118s
am i right in saying some have wider arches, front and back?
are these from factory?
and are both classed as valvers?

The 16v is a valver and has trhe bulged arches front and rear. The 8v is the RSI and has a normal bodyshell but with sideskirts.
