Mk1 15’s

  Valver Lookalike Mk1 Ph3

Does going to 15s from 13s -

Slow you down?
Give you more or less grip?
Improve/degrade handling substansially?

  Rb 182

get a good set of tyres on a set of 15" and the handling will be drasticly improved, gives you more grip and wont slow you down.

They do slow you down slightly.. but not overly noticable. I didnt notice much.

More grip.. better handling Id say.

Improve handling.

On the other hand, 195/50s are A LOT wider than the standard 13s.. I had Toyos and it just seemed to glide on water and do nothing, haha.

go for it, i didnt notice much, if any loss in acceleration on my 1.4, wider wheels, so better grip.

I have toyos on mine, and i have no problem when its wet, i just think people dont slow down when it rains, and expect it to handle just the same as when its totally dry

They wont slow you down as the overall diameter is the same, if using 195/45 tyres

Handling is massivly improved due to the wider tyre

get pretty low profile tyres such as 195/45 and you shouldnt notice any difference in acceleration, it will handle better.

mine felt a little faster going from 14" steelys with 60% profile to 15" alloys with 55% profile
