Mk1 16v Cambelts

Obviously will be calling round Hillpower and Yozzasports etc.

But does anybody know how much to get the cam belts changed on a Mk1 16v would cost? Anyone had theirs doone recently?

i just had mine done a on my 1.416v MK2 from a well none lad on here £270.

no idea if its easier on a mk1 i think its cheaper iirc cus is it a design engine or sumthing??? cheaper parts i no that.

i would disagree - due to lack of space - im about to do mine in a week or so myself! so ill let u know how i gets on - its funny have worked for reno for 11years and never done a cambelt on a valver (oh the joys of being a rte).

Had mine done last month by a local renault specialist.

Kit cost £89+Vat + Labour so probs about £250ish

I had a full major service done, and a quite a few other bits done so can't be too sure how much just the belt change would be.

Dont forget to do the tensioners as well.

did mine this avo - started at 11 was finished by 3 - not bad tbh - a couple of silly bolts to get on with not much acces to - but over all not bad! 1st f7* cambelt done in my 11 year reno span! yay!! thats not a invitation 4 more!! lol (price depending obv!)
