MK1 172 body panels

are the rear quater, doors, and front wing, roof and floor/sill any differnt from base models, i need to know bacause im looking at a damaaged mK1 and need to estimate whats involved.

thanks in advance

The front bumper, bonnet (not in shape, but its alloy rather than steel I think), front arches and rear bumper are different. It also has side skirts.

So its not as major a job as a 16v (with its flared rear arch panels).

Still no wheels yet, will have to meet up when I get them back!

nuh uh........a tinly larger lip round the arch......

oh, and they are of a rare magnetically polarized metal which always pulls in teh direction of velocity to aid acceration and top speed......but its top secret......although its reflected in their price.

Wouldnt bother messing about with a damaged 172......the crumpple zones although strong are soft and bending is common in most of the clios we get after a prang...we usually just write them off......

this one has been written off, its a moderate (see heavy in real world) side impact, i have no worried about buying, driving and selling a damaged car as long as everyone knows, problems only arise when people believe they are buying straight cars and the plob pay them a visit to check chassis numbers.

its cheap! if it goes round in circles constantly then ill flog it!

Ben, would lie to see it when its all done and maybe compare pace notes, where are you getting the wheels done? superlite?
