What colours was the mk1 172 available in?!

As far as I knew...


Silver (most common)
Blue Metallic
Black
Yellow

Two kinds of silver. The Red is really nice in the flesh! Quite rare but looks really good on the MK1.

Of course not counting the green on the Exclusive model

Thats my car (the Mk2). The Mk1 belongs to Jonathon on here.

It was taken at a meeting last summer at JJB Soccer Dome. Look good dont they!?

Red is the best.

Dont see many about thats for sure. I think there is another member with one.

I think the colours are to reflect the Renault Sport logo colours + silver & black, at least thats what I was told !

seeing the mk1 and mk2 172 together ive realised how much i prefer the mk1. I think it looks so much nicer and has a much more "grrrr" front end (if that makes any sense)! lol What dyou guys think?

Yep, I prefer Mk1 172s (but prefer mk2 V6s), the mk1 172s r slightly faster and you get more feedback from the steering wheel aswel.

@andyman, I dont know its from the cliosport gellery under meetings, wish ther were lesbiens on my car
