mk1 blue backlights! HOW?????

ok soem1 on here posted last week pics of their blue back lights! GUIDE PLEASE! LOL also what type of replacemtn bulbs did u need? is it plug and play or a solder job? i think it looks great and i want it!
 
there is a kit on ebay which will do the dials.

Personally i have been thinking about using my soldering skills to replace all the orange bulbs with blue bulbs myself - dials, clock/radio/aircon - everything.

cheap to do, will just take alot of time
 
There's a guide on the link below but it will depend on the type of dials you have. I bought some phase 1 dials which have clear plastic behind each dial but orange needles. You then have to sand the backs of the dials down to remove the orange film on them. I then swapped the needles for phase 2 items (white ones) I'm still trying to get the light to diffuse behind the dials properly as you get bright spots directly over where the bulbs sit (I've tried the 5 LED model and the single frosted led model) I'll try and sort some pics later.
