Mk1 Clio Questions

  Black Clio 182
ok i dont know to much about these but a friend has asked me so i thought i would look on here.

basically he has got a a mk1 ph2 clio and is wanting some better bumpers for it so going down the valver, williams or rsi bumper route.

someone local is selling rsi bumpers but its a ph1. what im asking is will it fit straight onto the car? i think it would be thought i would check with everyone on here.

but i presume the bonnet wouldnt fit straight on as the lights are different.

also would valver wheels fit straight onto the car. cant see why not but just double checking.

RSi bumpers are the same as Clio RT bumpers. If he has the unpainted black bumpers then some from a Clio RT/RSi etc will fit straight on and improve the looks.

16v/Williams bumpers are wider iirc so you're going to need the front arches if you want it to fit.

The bonnet from a 16v/Williams should go straight on and you won't need the wider arches either. Will look a bit gay on anything but a 16v/Willy/Hybrid.

And yes, Valver/RSi/Williams/Baccara allosy will go straight on.

has your/mates car got the rounded front lights? if so its a ph 3, the bumpers would fit but if your putting a ph 1 on the front it will look/not fit perfectly, the wheels should fit, if there the valver wheels thay may rub i little on the front(well myn do lol).

cheers for the comments. so it doesnt matter about the phase of the clio?

as for the bonnet he will need a new one anyway. yeah he has got the gay black bumpers lol

will let him know about them fitting straight on. is there a guide on here about changing the bumpers?

probly is a guid, lol swaped my front bumper the other day and it only took 30min, its a easy job, theres 5 nuts/bolts, 1 behind the number plate, 2 under the bumper and, 2 ether side behind the arch liners,
