Mk1 steering wheel

I want to change my steering wheel on my clio 1997 phase 3, is it easy? What can I change it to? Would a 16v one fit?

You can yeah, a 16v steering wheel with an airbag looks awful though (really awful) One from a non airbagged valver looks better, but you'd not have the airbag.

The air bag probably fits on from the back of of the wheel, you'll need to disconnect the battery & leave it for a bit before getting it off.
You might need the boss for the 16v wheel too.

^ and a race air leather gear knob too, I always wanted that combo as it's ace. I should have messed with my valver when I had it, but tbh I couldn't be arsed.

I've fitted a silver valver wheel in mine. Has no center so looks a little bodge. Going to paint it black and have a renault badge in the center.

I didnt have a airbag so was just simply take cover off original, unscrew torque, then pull/hit the wheel off its hub until it smacks you in the face and then the opposite when putting the wheel back on. Make sure the wheels are perfectly straight
