Mk1 V6 bloody cheap!!!

Just come past my local garage and there is a silver Mk1 V6 for sale there at £7995!!!

I know whos it is too, as my sister used to date his brother. He is a friend of a friend also. Its probably had a bit of a rough life while in his possesion though, but he has only had it a few months.

If only i had that sort of money!

£8k for something that will likely set you back a new engine/box/clutch in a short period of time

it seems, as cheap as the v6 is becoming, people are finally realising its not that special, christ, williams are still selling at £4-5k 11 years or so on

How many times has it drove round te world?:p

Has it still got the engine i or just a rolling chassis!!!

A dealer would be out of business if they sold cars that much lower than their market value. Bryan, no offence, but just because you think theyre over-rated and only worth the price of an 11 year-old Williams, doesnt mean the market will react accordingly.

On the whole, over-rated cars dont suffer from depreciation as badly as you think they might. Just look at the Audi TT and the old SLK, both rubbish as sports cars, but rock solid residuals.

Oh, and if this V6 in question really is about to blow up, why not spend a few hundred quid on a Warranty Direct policy, and cash in when it happens!

Im sure its not as bad as you lot think it would be. the garage in question is run by a right plonker. He prob has no idea how much the car is worth

im sure he will have a Parkers book handy thou.

Anyway if hes a dealer, try and blag 6 months warranty and sell it on straight away and pocket the extra.

everyone knows value on these is far higher, even if it is ready to blow.

gotta be wrong price.

Why not take a pic while your there!?

Dont think anyone would be stupid enough to sell for this price.. And I bet some of the peeps giving it "Mk1s handle crap blah blah blah" Would snap the garages hand off

I doubt its worth that much more over a standard silver model, since the only difference is the colour of the paint.

lol why not just buy a new mk2 in blue. who in there right mind paid 30k for mk1 v6?????

Nice one smokey, thats cleared that up then.

but i dont need to go to specsavers thank you day (he who cant park within the white lines lol)

It defo said £7995, so i assume some wally had priced it up wrong. Went passed today and it wasnt out the front anymore, so i dont know what happened to it.

  clio v6

deffo buy the mk2 of course... but those of you who remember the mk1 rs2000 and the 5 turbo 1 these are now worth more than the mk2 rs and the turbo 2 because more of those where made.

the mk1 v6 in a rare colour will be worth more in the long run... thats all..

Can see what your saying Clarkie... If thats the case surely MK1s are gonna be like the series 1 escort turbo as less around than MK2s?

Very true but must admit williams are still pulling great prices.. Of course it only attracts one type of market at that price. (Enthusiasts) But what are we??

I know thats why I bought it!

£20k or £30k for a mk1???????????

Have you got the wrong currency in front of the figure?

Anyone who told you they got £30k for a mk1 is a liar.

Anyone who told you yours was worth £20k is taking the pi$$.

You can get a mk2 in red for around £19k or there abouts.

Dream on...................................
