mk2 172 spare wheel!!!!

Did the mk2 172 come with 5 alloys or was the spare a steel rim??

I ask this as Renault just told me they dont make a 16" steel rim for the clio!!!

But it would be good to have a spare(keep in boot or at home) as no one stocks exalto tyres(2/3 day wait)

Hmm, I would say you would get a Mk2 172 wheel a lot cheaper used, than a 182 wheel, just IMO.

look on ebay. mk2 172 go quite cheap sometimes.

Even if you just get the rim you can always buy a cheap tyre as the spare.

Dont fancy your chances finding a cheap 182 cup rim

I did try a 14" but wouldnt get over the caliper

Surely someone has put steel rims on a mk2 172 or 182!!!!

You could ask KDF, hes got a set of MK2 172 wheels in his garage.

A Steel rim running a 195/50/15 will be almost the same diameter.

Ye I got 5 of them, dont think I will split them initially though, would rather sell as a set. They are a bit kerbed so wont be looking for too much.

Gonna clean em this w/end and will put up an add on cliosport first, then e-bay.

I agree with Mike though, your best bet is to get a 2nd hand mk2 172 alloy, it will fit perfectly and wont be too expensive.
