Mk2 ph1 and ph2 difference's

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between mk 2 ph1 and ph2 door mirrors?
I have just bought my wife a v reg renault clio initiale. One mirror is held on with black tape and the other is a manual mirror. I'm looking for two colour coded black electric mirrors.
