Mk2 Ph1: Will the rear seats fold flat?

No joke - will the rear seats in my phase 1 clio 172 fold completely flat?!

The seat backs obviously fold down (with a 60/40 split), but I'm not sure if the squabs (bit you sit on) should lift up (like they did in all the other hatchbacks i've ever owned) to make a totally flat loading area.

Nothing in the user manual, not much info on the Interweb (I did a search first!), and most importantly I don't want to go tugging at things because knowing Renault build quality it will probably just snap off in my hand!

the bottom parts do lift up and fold forward mate. get your hand down the back where the two parts meet and give them a good yank.

Thanks - no catch or anything to release?

I did give them a gentle tug before - but was worried I might break something!

No catch on mine, just give it a pull!
