What size Torx bit/star bit is it under the airbag?

biggest i have is a T55

Also are there any threads regarding removing and fitting a 172 steering wheel or vice versa

its piss easy mate.

just be carefull with the coiled cable for the airbag when you pull the wheel off.... if that comes out theres no getting it back in.
i just removed mine as stock wheel will never go back on anyway.

just a case of undoin the bit torx screw in middle fully out then steering wheel will just come off?

yep. remember to feed all the wires through the hole as you pull off the wheel so you dont pull on the rotary switch

dont forget to disconect your battery first buddy
