mk2 phase 1 clio with phase 2 front end

hi i have a euro clio 1.2 which ive just bourght as a daily runner! very nice looking car. but ive seen the same clio as mine with a 172 phase 2 rear bumper on. my question is will the phase 2 bonnet, headlights, bumper and wings fit a phase 1 without modification? any help would be greatfull.

They dont all fit without modification. Look at the clio TT. That was a ph1 with a ph2 front end and it still didn't look right. gaps inbetween the headlights etc.

IIRC the front slam panel is different.

this is the clio in question..

im tempted to get a 172 front bumper and 172 rear bumper! i already have a 172 spoiler not fitted and the skirts are on at the mo.

172 front bumper may look good, you will need the wings though to make it fit, 1st thing is to get rid of those headlights! get some standerd dual optics lol

i was thinking that myself! do you know where you can get the rear wiper blanking panel from or do you have to custom make one?

you can buy them from the dealers, but they have to import them from france or something, about £40 tho!!! I used a gromit that i bought form halfords, or you can have a go at plastic welding and make your own smoothed one

tho, get them gash headlights and brows off,

euro and OEM+ go hand in hand imo,

tbh im not a fan of the skirts either, clios work the euro well because theyve got a very round body.

id get some nice sized spacers

btw, i used a grom to blank my rear wiper,
think it looks good.

cheers for the comments! im on the prowl for some optics atm and some 60mm springs until i can afford coilovers! should hopefully have some bits for traxs but im on the 106owners stand!

i think after seeing barrons gorgous ph1 im going to get a ph 2 rear bumper, ph2 rear boot open cover, fit my 172 spolier, get a ph 1 172 front bumper and arches and that will do! i shal start a progress blog soon!
