mk2 rear bumper on a mk1>>

is it possible to put a 03 Plate 172 bumper on to a phse 1 172 Car with out many problems?

yeah this is a straight swap! the mk1 and mk2 172s are exactly the same in respect of bumper fitments mate! Shouldnt even need arch liners but may be wrong bout that bit!!??

I no this is an old post but does any1 have any pics of mk2 bumpers on mk1 and any1 know where to get archliners from? as ive just bought a mk2 bumper dunno why, still unsure whther im gonna fit it on or not!

Its not a straight fit mate but its still pretty simple. The original arch liners will fit, Im not bothering with any ph2 ones. The main difference is the 4 mounting points under the boot lid, there are only 2 on the ph2 so you just need to drill some new holes in line with the original points. I will try to get some pics for you tomorrow.
