What you guys had out of yours? (private road only)

I've had 140 in 5th, but it was wet so I thought I'd better slow down.

153/155 @ 6500rpm or there abouts. Had it a few times now, rpm might have been more or less, at that kind of speed the last place your looking is down at the dials!!!

Surely they can do 160 (standard)

Full exhaust system, remap, improved air flow...may get 165/170?

TBH it got round to 153/155 and then the rev counter stopped dead as if it hit a limiter, there has been talk that the vee has a limter but no ones ever confirmed it.

Even with the mods you suggest you will be very lucky to make much in the way of power gains.

Theres a few threads on www.v6clio.net about power mods and re-maps.

153 is the max i had out of mine down bruntingthorpe on gps

you need over 300bhp to do more than 160mph IMO

lol yea true...welding does need a bit of touch up IMO.

Mine used to feel seriously light at the front end at over 120....hit a bump and it was anyones guess where it would go. lol

Surely the aerodynamics are'nt s**t hot on a V6. Thats most likely to be the limiting factor rather than lack of power

Ive had 153 out of my mk1...it felt very very wary!

it seemed to hit a wall at that speed and stop accelerating
