MK3 1.2 Turbo remap?

  Various Renaults
Hello!! Just registered. The 1.2TCE is a good lil engine

Theres a few specialists out there and typical gains are from the 100BHP to around 125BHP. There was one company that claimed 130BHP which sounds quite high for such a small engine!

Worth noting that they actually make more than 100 very slightly with the over boost function although as this is not permenant Renault dont claim the figure

As Martin said. Im only going what they do standard. Went on a training course and it showed a dyno graph with the extra power from 4250rpm to 6000rpm in 2nd, 3rd and 4th only. The claim 100BHP but with over boost it gives a few more although not permenant. How much of this is crap I dont know.

Would love to drive one of the clio's or even more crazy the Twingo GT running 130bhp! That would be as quick as the clio 138 dyn s or the renn sport 133 twingo!! And they both go pretty well!

Running Gear is only good up to 140Bhp but id be wear sitting at 130 to be honest !!!!

What makes you say that? Seems an odd statement to me? do you mean the gearbox and Dshafts are weak?
I don't buy that renault made a car with 100bhp and good torque and fitted a gearbox that instantly pops at 140bhp.

Can't wait till these engines get a little older and cheaper. You can do some really funny things with high boost small capacity engines.
I wonder how long the rods and pistons would last at 180 bhp ?

K-tec have it at 125 iirc which is a nice tidy gain that wont sod the living day lights out of your engine. If you care about your engine it's the one to go for imo.

i had mine done for a month and was 134.6bhp. was great because you know that little bit you just dont get the power as standard it dissapears

but as people said its probably very hard on the engine but i think it was well worth it so much more fun

I am looking into the same thing, I will get re-mapped with 182 Injectors and a larger fmic or duct the original, already have a 165mm long trumpet to the turbo and an itg air filter, I would want over 130bhp from it.
I have seen these engines with 150bhp with a stock turbo, tubular manifold, large fmic and a 2" system running 1.2bar of boost. People saying 130bhp with a11.1 is alot but its really not. Ford run 165 with a 1l in the mondeo.
