Mk3 Clio dash unreadable

Hi Guys,

Recently I noticed the dash is very hard to read. The bit that says "press brake and start". The lights are illuminated and you can make it out fairly clearly from the passenger seat but not the drivers.

It basically all glows orange.

Any ideas what the issue could be? (It's a mk3 200).

Have you got the dash dimmer dial/wheel turned down (right hand side of wheel)?

No, I turned it to brightest and to dimmest and still no improvement.

A fuse/the LED's.

The backlight is different to the LED's powering the text.

Hi All,

Sorry to revive the thread, but still got the issue. The light seems to flicker occasionally so could this potentially be a loose connection? Also sometimes its perfectly readable other times you can't read it at all.

I know a few people with the same issue, seems a common problem
