MK3 eleccy problems :(

Driving to work this morning (6am) and i looked down to see the dash lights out - "bugger" i thought i'd forgotten to turn the lights on

I had turned them on (i do it before i drive out of the garage) so i pulled over and switched off/ on and they came back on.

I phoned the dealer i bought the car off last week to be told his demo does this every now and then (megane) and it's a software problem with no fix yet?

How can makers sell cars with problems they can't fix?

UCH problem probably, what he really means is put up with it as he can't be arsed with an expensive warranty repair.

Take it back tell him to fix or it you're handing the car back!

i'm taking the car in this weekend with another list so will have a chat with the service dept

Its the main computer which controls the car.

The megan has the same issue since there in essence the same cars.
