I tend to use 10w 40 for better protection from cold.
Can use it as gearbox oil too I'm told!

side note I always thought the lower
the first number i.e. 0W-5W meant the
thinner the oil was when it's cold so the
easier it gets around the engine when
first starting?

I was told thin oil will make its way through the seals and leak, again i may have been fed duff info though

Any oil will eventually leak through a Renault seal mate...
My source is a respected Renault Specialist.
