Mobile Broadband is awesome lol

I brought my macbook into work today, as there was a huge 650mb os x update due, and I have mobile broadband at home with 3gb allowance, so thought I would use works connection instead.

After downloading 450mb and 4 hours I decided to see if my dongle would be quicker. It downloaded the remaining 200mb in 11 minutes!!

Works connection must be crap.

No, I live within 300 metres and work within about 50 metres of one. Nobody must use three around here. Tis awesome.

Seriously, it's damn quick, and has only dropped connection once or twice in the year I've had it.

Quicker than my parents, and all of my mates broadband connections, as out in the country here, we don't have very good lines. 2mb is the norm.

I get 2.2mb from Voda, can't get anywhere near 7 though!

I can get 7 off my T-Mobile dongle at home, I'm convinced there's a phone mast in my flats

Edit: Not that I use it much, I get ~20mb from the ADSL line

yea 3 have a quick fast BB network but the signal drops in places like trains etc and inside big buildings which i never had when on virgin(tmobile)

I use 3 mobile broadband, hovers around the 3 meg mark all the time, plus if I ever do buy an iPad they'll swap my sim for a micro one - win!

I use a mobile BB router in my gaff. Get around 2mg which was the same as my landline.

Really happy with it, dont really d/l so all good. Cheap too.
