Mobile Phone Q

It's that time again when i renew my contract so wanting suggestions on handsets. I fancy the W900 but it's looking like only o2 and vodafone:)dead: ) offer it. Ideally i would want the orange £20 PM 3000 text tariff with the W900 but doesnt look possible. Any suggestions on either another high text tariff (i rarely ring but send a fuckload of texts) sub £30 PM with the W900 or alternatively another handset that i can get on the orange tariff. Ta :)

Call orange?? my bill was £290 this month, i have 600 mins and 600 txts, i sent 3000 txts, 800 mins.. :(

Used to have 3000 txts but called too much!! Upgrade for me next month i think..

*calls orange now*

07973 100 150 is their number btw..

ouch!! cheers trouble :) I've just spoken to o2 and they've sorted me out. cant get any of the handsets for the tarriff or networks i wanted so managed to get them to do me 400 x network mins at anytime and 1000 texts for £30 a month so should cut my bill a bit. I didnt think i used the phone for calls as much but he looked back through my text vs call history and this seemed the best option for me. Might take the opportunity to change my number and loose a few undesirables that have it at the moment too.

Did they have the W900 on O2 Si?

I called them the other day to upgrade mine as my contracts up and the woman said she didnt know when they where getting it in?

Nope, bloke i spoke to said they arent getting the w900i in and they would be getting its replacement instead :s

So far i've seen it on a couple of sites but mainly its voda (which i cant stand) and most of the tarriffs are either high, or the more reasonable ones dont give you many minutes/texts. I've seen a couple of places list it on o2 but again silly tariffs or low min/text bundles. Decided to just bite the bullet and get a w800 instead. I dont like motorola's, or samsungs and have gone off nokias recently so it had to be SE and out of the ones available it made the most sense.

I've been on the phone to o2 today as my contract ran up last week. They've got a really piss poor choice of phones as usual.

I'm going to wait for the Nokia 6280, which they reckon they'll get in March.

tbh unless you wanted to pay for the handset or take it up the ass on a £50/70 PM contract most of the phones on offer arent much of a step on from the s700i im replacing. I've not been in awe of o2s customer service but i've had no major problems with them. They're certainly a fuckload better than voda. orange and t-mobile have been good in the past when ive used them but none had a high text vs call package that i needed.

I'm stuck with o2 business. I've been with them for so long that I'm stuck with them, if I want to swap to the normal arm of o2 I'd have to join as a new customer.

Apparently I can have any phone I want for free though, but I don't get many nice offers.

Loony - i just rang orange who cant offer me better, my contracts due for upgrade on 5th Feb, i called o2 who can give me some REALLY good offers, sim only, 1000 off peak mins, 1000 anytime txts, their offpeak is 7pm - 7am and all weekend (when i use it most) for £25 a month, which is a 30 day rolling contract so i can leave whenever..

Also offered me a phone with a £35 p/m contract, 750 anytime mins and txs, which i might go for both sims as ill never go above that £60 p/m then..

Muahahah

Give them a call!

I may wait a bit longer and see if anything comes up then, was going to get an N70 just for the sake of upgrading earlier.

I just thought "f**k it" in the end. I've held off waiting for a handset in the past and ended up going for one only for it to be superceeded by a new wave of better phones a month into the next contract. My current one is bulky and battlescarred so its time for a new one.

Think thats always the case, as soon as you buy something a newer ones comes out.

Must say I am - Not overly impressed with my D500 but it still works, picked that last year and didnt know what to get when upgrading just because I could.

Try being on T-Mobile, theyve got the worst selection of phones you can have!
