Will they work over here? After a Nokia 6700, guessing would be cheaper over there.

they have several bands over there like we do here, so as long as the phone supports those bands.

america uses 850 and 1900MHz frequency, while europe and other asia pacific countries are using 900 and 1800MHz i think. So, if the phone is triband or quadband, it should work through US and europe.

I know when i wanted to take my triband phone to the US i was told it would work in most places, just not remote areas and i would need a quad band for that.

just read the 6700 is quad band

so yes it would work,but from experience, the territories have very different models, so you might not be able to get a 6700 in the US, or it might be under a different name.

Aslong as it's the GSM version rather than CDMA

CDMA doesn't use a SIM card..
