mobo DC plug for acer aspire 1693wlmi ?

Having broke the plug at the back of the laptop, im after a replacement to solder back onto the mobo. anyone know of where i can get one of these parts?
ive tried google etc but no luck

how broken is the socket? If its just that it has been broked from the motherboard then you wil be able to strip the board out and get it re-soldered

centre pin snapped in it. the laptop basically fell on its back off a table whilst plugged into the mains.
so i need to replace the entire plug i dont mind soldering a new one in... i just carnt find the part

Its been over a year since i was repairing laptops but AFAIK you cant buy just the connector. Motherboards for acres though are one of the cheapest to get so you may be able to get a brand new motherboard for under 150quid!

hmm... seen some for other acer's sub £20. there must be some somewhere.

bodge it!

solder in some wire to a new connector socket jobbie, and lop off the plug from the transformer and solder in a matching plug, sorted! ( not at all dodgy! will work tho )
