Model info please

Saw a Clio phase 2 (valver shape) today. It had an oval brake light built into the tailgate just above the number plate.

Just curious as to which model this was.

i saw a clio extreme today, had a brake light in the top of the rear window that said "clio"

The MK1 Phase3 Clio had the high-level rear brake lamp, as well as the rounded headlights, different bumpers and more safety kit. It was introduced in May 1995, so just caught the end of N-reg although most are on a P or R-plate.

The model range was rationalised with the 16V and Willy being canned, but the RSi was continued. The RSi has side skirts, unlike the picure above.
