Obvioulsy not!

Jus' wonderin what people do on here when they change / modify parts on their cars?? Do you declare them to your insurance company or risk it??

Reason for askin, I've got a few mods in mind for myself.....turini's, induction kit, cup components (splitter) etc. would it be best to declare them or to jus put them on the car and risk it??

cheers!

Stupid question.

Declare unless can you afford to loose the value of the vehicle plus court costs...

well yeah, it's obvious you should declare mods.

I was jus wonderin what the slightly younger drivers do, because I could only just get insurance for the car...let alone any mods to it.

Cheers.

People arnt going to admit if they dont declare mods, i heard that someone crashed, removed mods but had a forum sticker on the window, insurers cheecked it out and they saw the mods and wouldnt cover him

i would declare the turinis cup components and that but not the exhaust and i know people will hate me for saying this but its a quick 2 second job it rip it off if your in an accident so keep the oringal pipe and air filter in your car to quickly re fit it.... job done

I'm 19 and managed it, at 21 you should be fine. It wasn't that much more either really.

when i was 17/18 i didnt declare anything but was lucky not to have any problems. now (21) i declare everything.

Only problem is insurance companies do not like suspension mods which is what im going to add soon when purchased
