I know its quite a popular mod but thought i'd post my experiences with it anyway.
Idea here being to machine out the small step in the inlet of the throttle body to improve airflow, obviously...
Took it to my local machinist shop to get the step bored out but they wanted £80 for the honour lol, so quickly went home and took the job on myself.
This mod can also be carried out on mk2 clios as the throttle bodies between the two models are almost identical.
Wasnt particulary hard but to get a perfect mirror finish took a whole day and night.

As for performance gains, most probaly placebo effect but mid range throttle response is improved with the disadvantage of making throttle more sensitive and a little jurky when manouvering at low speed.
