More channels available on freeview ??!!

Car  Shed.
Basically ive got a new telly, got it for free, a flat screen 32". Got freeview built in, but theres a problem, it doesnt have channel 5 even, no DAVE ffs and skips from ch14 to ch28 lol....basically there are very limited channels.

now weve got another tv in the house with a freeview box, that has loads of channels, but why dont i have the same channels ???????

Mine's recently started flickering....:( Pissing me off and i lost loads of channels...

Signal booster for both of us??

Maybe one isn't powerful enough to receive a strong signal??

My samsung lcd in the bedroom gets loads of channels but my seperate receiver struggles to get 1 to 4.

freeview is poo. Had new aerials put up and it's still poo. Freesat with olympics on bbc hd FTW! And i'm pickin up sky sports for free at the minute!

^^ freesat looks good, looked at this yesterday.

problem is you need a dish, and on a 200 year old cottage they still look shite lol!! :(

Point taken. Dishes do look godawful full stop.

Do you have a skylight by any chance? I'm guessing not, but if it's in the right position I've heard you can use a dish thru it.

Depends which antenna you point at. Are you using the same aerial as before as if you are that aerial maybe pointing to a different one? It happens loads down here because 1 mast has channel 5 and one doesnt

funnily enough we do as its had an extension. hmm *goes off to investigate* :)

apparantly there was an update pushed out recently which has bricked a lot of boxes causing them to loose channels.

that only effected early digital equpiment though did it not. if the tv is new, it should not have been effected.
