more noises

had to take my car to reno this morning as it has now developed another engine related noise. on tick over i now have a clicking noise to accompany the knocking noise when driving. apparently this could be knackered bearings on the water pump? it will be checked on weds when they try to sort the engine mount thats causing the knocking.

that plus the 4k exhaust rattle, bust wheel bearing, leaking rear shock and seized calliper all within 7 months are testing my patience with my clio, fun eh?

fingers crossed it has a few months of not breaking as its a great car when its not in and out the garage.

ah now you didnt tell me about the clicking noise

mine makes some crappy noises when idling..... but not sure if they were there before or if they have developed !!!

let me know how you get on at the renault garage.... im away next week on me hols but if you are still having probs, ill give you my mateys phone number and you can get him to have a look for you...

Take the alt belt off, if the noise goes then its the water pump or alt or PS pump. If its still there then a tensioner.

will, the clicking noise is a new one, started yesterday. i think my car knew i was getting close to solving the knocking noise so it developed something new to p**s me off.

chris, cheers for the advise but im leaving it to reno as to get to the belts my bumper and head light have to come off?
