More power?

Car  Clio 1.2 16v
hi, i dont know to much about cars but here goes. If i was to put a pipecross induction kit and a exhaust of some kind would i see an increase in preformance? BYW i have a 1.2 16v. thanks

nothing other than noise to be honest. Maybe about 3-4bhp on a rolling road.

those sorts of mods only make a slight difference to performance cars

Not for the 1.2 dude, wouldnt make any difference unless your happy making it sound a bit gruntier!

id buy a pannel filter and also get a decat pipe. some other things you could do, which wont make it faster, would be to buy some decent alloys and tyers, and also to put some decent suspension on it.

not alot worth doing with a 1.2, youll just have to accept that theres not a lot you can do with it. save up for a betetr car, like a 1.6.

although you can make you engine bay look nice, it wont go any faster

lol 8v sooo s**t, thats identical to my old engine bay, bar the red.

tbh if you wanna make the car "sound faster" you can but the stuff, if your gonna have the car for a while why not spend a little cash, but get some small alloys on it too, and lower it, nothing over the top.

There is nothing wrong with 8v's. It cheep insurance, cheep petty, cheep to fix? Go ahead and mock the 8v, but I'm sure there are alot of people on here who will stick up for it....or am I alone on that one?

im with ya mate, had no problems, cheap to run and reliable

gotta start somewhere

Don't bother, I'd say. I've had mixed results, and find although it may free up some revs higher up, I lost some lower down torque, and the noise, although fine when you're in the mood, can be annoying around town.

Standard for me, these days.

Saving for the 172s...
