more power

i have just brought a 1.2 paris n red clio i have about £200 to spend whats the best ways to get a little more power out of it?

"£200 to spend "

On a 1.2?!?! Erm not a lot. Even if some magical mod offered a 20% increase you not going to notice much improvement. A decent back box or sealed induction kit will swallow that £200 plus more.

dont car need cats though for legal things?
running a de-cat on a n plate is illegal......but how many coppers do you know who would know what a cat even looks like, let alone get on his knees to have a look under the car!

you will need to keep the cat for the mot so it passes the emmisions test, and there are only 4 bolts so its easy to swap over.

got the induction kit and sorting out a powerflow exzaust the lot is costing me about £300 is with lucj an hope to have abit more to spend after x mas when i have alloys and body kit fitted what about EMS/EMI or what ever it is remaping?

Surely it is illegal if it voids your MOT as driving without an MOT is illegal!!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

you do not need a cat for the MOT either, it only reduces the emissions, if the car passes without the cat, then you dont need one

there is no test to check if the cat is fitted

this is a misconception of the law
