More Silverstone Qualifying pics

Nice pics Lee.

Here are some of mine, got there about half way through first practice but didnt take any shots. Then headed to the grandstand for the Porsches. After that I met up with some guys from the Renault F1 Club forum and we sat on the pit straight directly opposite the Renault garage for quali.
After that we headed down to copse to watch the GP2, couple of incidents down there.

Was a good day. Impressed by renault uk's efforts at the ticket collection point.

Ye I have to agree a great day. And as above the Renault's pitstop was not what I was expecting but made for a very good day.

Good pictures by the way, you must have been sat just behind me,

Wasn't what I was expecting either, promo girls in race overalls, a lollipop being held in front of my car, someone washing my windscreen, red lights and food and goodie bags coming through the car windows at 6.30 in the morning!! Really impressed with what Renault did, so well organised too.

Lee - ask Steve for the close ups he took of you doing your photography stuff ;)

You bugger, you took an ice cream pic!!!!!

pmsl ^^^^ you should have swapped it with my nephew, he was given an adults pack, we didn't get offered a kids one!

LOL - I payed no attention to anything in the bag during the day bar the food and drink while we where there - was only when I got home and thought the cap looked a bit small, and noticed the Kids key ring!

I wondered why my friend Steve had loads of fruit in his and and all I had was the sarnie, and crisps!

I got a kiddes bag one day too Rich. I've got a collection of bags t shirts and caps after going all 3 days!

Ross and Liam, I'd I had known you were both going I would have tried to find you to say hello.

Karen, I behaved with my picture taking. That one at the end of the day was pure jailbait, even Steve didn't take one.

I don't want to see any closeups of me to be honest. I'm about to eat.

I'm shattered this morning, two 5 am starts and one 3.45, over 600 miles of driving and all that sitting in the sun has killed me.

Feel like that only going for one day, but went out last night despite being tired, feel like crap now. Still it was a good weekend.

Glad I am not the only one with the kids pack then lol

Great pics guys.

I'm shattered too after two 5am starts!

Rich - What lense have you got on that camera? Some really good close-ups of the cars on track.

Edit - Sorry, just seen the other thread where you say what lense you got.

Luckily some of them where sharp enough to crop and they are quite big 3456 x 2304 pixels.

All in all pleased I got 3 or 4 good track ones, as it still is very much a learning process still. A few are very soft, and some not as sharp as I would like, but those that came out well despite the lens being short where at least sharp.
