most miles from a full tank

just wondering what the most mileage people have got from a full tank. Ive done 345 at the moment and the computer tells me Ive got 46 left.

I dont drive like a granny... well most the time.

Ive drove it hard for first 100 miles of this tank and normal since then - mostly motorway.

Id like to see if I could manage to get 400 from a tank. That would really annoy my mate whos got a new CTR. Best hes got is 260!

I normally get about 290-300 miles with mixed city/motorway driving.

Most I have ever had the trip computer saying is 450 odd lol

420 was the most i have ever got, which was mostly motorway driving at between 70-90, and a little town... Computer said 47.5mpg :)

485 from my last tank still had another 200 miles to go but got worried with the fuel gauge that low.

I think thats about the best Ive never realy tried (got bored to easily) but 800 is easily possible.

I dont drive easy either. The hot weather increases the mpg considerably.

not sure, b ut i can get from donny to newcastle and back on a tank of petrol!! usually on a long run i can get 40ish to the gallon!!

Did 300 on about £25, usually takes £30 to fill her her, but that was almost all motorway miles.

When i first started driving....and modding i wuld get 420

Right I am going to join this challenge.....This weekend when the fuel light comes on...I am going to fill up until full to see how many miles i can actually get in a 172 whilst driving frugally...not something I have ever done actually..

The needle usually sticks around 31mpg...goes down to 27MPg and one time i saw 38MPG..

So this could be a new experience :)

330 miles, when I filled up only managed to get 44.5 litre in the tank, therefore that leave 5.5 litres in the tank.

That equates to 34mpg not bad really, that included some hard driving, motorway work and round town. Im pretty chuffed with this especially compared to my old fantastically uneconomical Pug 206 GTi which struggled to 30mpg!

I have squeezed about 475 out of the tank at 43mpg in the 172 - but that was driving like the engine was about to blow up :D I was at a steady 70 and feathering the accelrator to the lightest touch possible to maintain speed.

challenge is on then.

MOST MILES FROM TANK COMPETITION - winners get ..... more miles for their money:D

for each model........ (moderators, can we have a poll set up or something)

do we need photographic evidence? :)

I filled up this morning with BP Ultimate. Whis is a first - Ive never used anything other than optimax, so hope its as good.

Anyway, I cant help but feel well chuffed with these cars. I dont know of another car ever (mass market petrol), that has the same accelleration/speed/handling etc. and doesnt cost the earth to run. In fact its the cheapest car Ive owned in that respect (previous = micra 1.3, escort 1.8, new mini cooper, celica GTR) and is half the insurance of any other hot hatch I got quoted on!!!

Fan - bleeding - tastic

TOUCHES WOOD... RUBS WOOOD... KISSESS WOOD.... errrrm

Thinks sod it ive got 2 1/2 years warrenty left :)

Going to Manchester tomorrow from Northants, itll be the Cups first long run really. Best ive had is 325 but could only refill it with 44litres.
