....couple of questions.

firstly i lowered my 172 by 30mm recently, will this take the headlight beam out of line and will i fail because it needs adjusting?

also theres a small air bubble on the passenger side lower of the windowscreen...would that incur a fail - therefore new screen?

elliot.

aim will be fine if front and back have been loowered the same.

if its in the sweped area and lessthan 40mm then it will pass

yeah been done 30mm all round.

for the screen, do you mean sweeped as in the whats in the wiped screen section and the less then 40 mm in diamater?

  • Damage larger than 10mm will fail in the drivers line of vision. Marked Zone “A” above
  • Damage larger than 40mm will fail in the rest of the swept area Marked Zone “B” above.
  • Significant scratching that impairs the drivers vision

yea head lamp aim should be ok.
here the wipers clear and 40mm dia is max on the passanger side.

The MOT testers manual says “any damage not contained within a circle of 40mm” so a cluster of minor damage could also fail
