mot failure, oh the joys.

Hi as said above its failed its MOT on a:
Front offside broken coil spring
Front offside CV boot insecure
Both front discs worn to thin
Windscreen washer motor not working
And here are the prices to fix which I think is expensive:
£79.95
£15.00
£149.95
£89.95
Total £334.85
So im doing the work my self at the prices of
£62 for a set of 35mm lowering spring
£0 cvboot had a clip in garage
£33 for new discs and pads
£6 for washer screen motor.
I will start work when parts have arrived.
Any hints and tips of how to do springs? I have a rough idea. Just if anyone has had any problems with there's

Theres lots of tips on here about removing front struts/springs,i always loosen the strut top nut before jacking the car up makes the job a lot easier later

But you have to be a full member to view them

As said, hardest part to removing the shock is loosening the top mount.
