MOT Test Time again. I am going to leave the cat replacement pipe on to see how much emission the willy is pushing out. The results are :
(1) SPECIFICATION I GOT
Fast Idle RPM : 2500 - 2800 Not Checked
Fast Idle Co : 0.00 - 0.30 0.45 = Failed
F. Idle HC Vol PPM : 0 - 200 96 = Passed
Lambda Emission : 0.970 - 1.030 1.408 = Failed
(2) SPECIFICATION I GOT
Fast Idle RPM : 2500 - 2800 Not Checked
Fast Idle Co : 0.00 - 0.30 0.50 = Failed
F. Idle HC Vol PPM : 0 - 200 92 = Passed
Lambda Emission : 0.970 - 1.030 1.375 = Failed
So it didn’t pass but it gives me a better understanding of the pass level and what the willy gives out. You could properly take this figure down by adding some products to the fuel.
So I need to bring done the Fast Idle Co % and the Fast Idle Lambda Emissions by about 15% for Fast Idle Co and about 410 for the lambda emissions.
When I put the cat back on this weekend and get my retest done I will post some more results.
