mot testers near notts?

Is there any mot testers on hear around notts/lincoln as my 172 cup failed on the rear brakes as usual, would be better to go to someone who knows what they are doing

Theres a link to an article from a mag somewhere on the forum, explains about the brake effort, you can print and show them.

print that and show them. they can ring vosa to confirm. page 8 has the relevant info.

I will show them tomorrow but he said he knew about the problems with the cup models but the rear brakes were not working at all so had to fail it

Mine needed a lot of freeing up last year to get a pass - might be yours just are sticky?

Could well be mate, what was sticking on yours? the calipers?

Yeah, wound em in & pumped back out again (once bolted back up) and it was fine

Needs doing again now after 6 months, so probably new callipers for the next MOT

I use HLE in Langley Mill (next to Eastwood). Theyve passed all my cars everytime... Even my first one which was an absolute wreck!
And if there is something wrong, theyll put it as an advisory (unless it is serious) as they know that my dad fixes it within the week!

Luckily though, my 172 had its MOT in May, and didnt have 1 thing wrong with it
