MOT tomorrow..... Slightly split rear wiper

well ive booked my MOT for tomorrow.

can anyone tell me if my rear wiper is slightly (about 1 inch) split , is this a cause for faliure?

still wipes the damn screen fine so not really cause for replacement.......

if it is a reason for them to fail it. can i just remove it for the test on the basis if it aint there - they cant test it?

Why not just pay a fiver for a new one? There must a halfords open until 20:00 by you?

Don't think you need a rear wiper for an mot so they don't check it

what i was thinking, get a new one put it on for the mot. change it back afterwards and keep it until your current one actually goes.

To be a pain!!!! Halfords dont do arear for MK2 cars! and im 99% surea rear wiper isnt an MOT fail

thanks chaps - passed the MOT this morning

i actually got one of those cut to fit blades anyway so i have some spare as the rears always seem to be splitting even tho i hardly ever use it....
