MOT - Tyres

Does the minimum tread depth apply to the whole width of the tyre?

My Eagle F1's have plenty of tread on them apart from the edges where they are quite warn. Will they pass an MOT?

I think its a minimum tread depth across the whole width of the tyre mate from how I understand it.

I thought it was across 75% of the tyre...though IIRC which 75% is open to discussion.

its for the whole tyre for an MOT. Just had mine done and there legal but wouldn't pass an MOT
