mot when sorned

hi all

after the engine fitting i need to look at getting the car mot done

but with out tax etc can i drive to an mot station when its booked in?

Yes, you can drive to an MOT station when not taxed/or on sorn as you need a valid MOT to get your tax.

You need to be insured mind

Also you need to book an appt at the garage. You can't just drive to smiths garage for a slot.

as long as it is insured like russ said and you genuinley have it booked in at a test station you are completely fine

what i would advise is make sure the MOT station take a note of your reg number ! my garage always do, because we have had problems before when we said yeah a clio is booked in , if you get pulled and they ring the garage and they say oh yeah pp04 ppp is booked in then theres no arguing !

As people have said, book it in and you are ok. But don't stop off or do anything else one the way to the test station.

Exactly that ^^^^ same rules apply as a trade plater make no stop offs or they have an excuse that you were using it for other means to
