Motocross helmet for track day

Car  2004 Clio 182
cant find any recent questions around this so thought I'd ask.

I look like a complete r****d in an open face helmet and have been told that full face ones can loose some vision so thought maybe a motocross helmet would be a good compromise but ultimately I guess safety has to take a presedent over looks.

Does anyone / has anyone used motocross helmets for track days and have you ever had any issues with the staff? Don't really want to lob on and get one if I can't use it. Normal tracks will be brands hatch and lydden if that makes any difference

Black and white there pal...

You do get helmets that are sort of halfway between the two. Like a full face with no visor. Like this

Choice of 2 helmets, 1st is a large OMP full face, hasn't got the flame proof lining but still a nice helmet, just used for 1 Rallyx meeting, bit of kart in and the odd track day, £40 posted

2nd up is my large V2 pro, flameproof lining but no hans posts, some stickers removed but has the original spares if wanted to put some back on. Used for 2 seasons of sprints and hillclimbs, always with a balaclava until I bought my Sparco peltor intercom helmet. £80 delivered
