In the last time I’ve got more and more interested in modifying my ecu to suite various engine modifications. I was wondering that there is not much know how to find in the www. For Japanese cars you can find everything, from hardware like cables and loggers, to free software to make modifications to the bin files. And there is a huge community sharing information about this topic. For Renault ecu such as the Siemens Sirius 34 you can hardly find anything. I already spent hours on investigation to find equipment to do the ecu mapping by myself. I know that for you guys in the UK it is not that a problem, because you have plenty of good mapers next door. But here it’s not that easy.
To start a discussion a made a collection of hopefully useful links.
Software
http://www.tunerpro.net/; nice piece of software that has a lot of functionality. Unfortunately there is no definition file for the Sirius34 available.
http://www.openecu.org/index.php?title=Main_Page; super good software for Mitsu and Subaru. No definitions for Renaults available.
http://www.evc.de/de/download/down_winols.asp; WinOLS. Only the demo version is for free. Can open the Sirius34 bin.
Loggers:
http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/lm2.php; nice little logger to log from a wide band sensor and from OBD2 as well. Not sure if it can read the k-line data stream.
Flasher

http://www.fastchip.nl/; tool can also be used to log engine data via OBD2. The guys provide custom tailored files. Software license reveres to a specific ecu.
