Mounting speakers

Right, got some 6in mids and tweeters in the original mounting points in front doors. also have some 5 1/4in mids and tweeters to put somewhere but cant find any place for them. Needs to be good sound quality, which rules the rear speaker mounting points out of the question.

Anyone built kick pods? cant wok out how theyd fit though, there aint much room! Was also thinkin of mounting them in the fabric part of the rear quarter pannels, id have to remove the cloth bit an make a replacement to house speakers out of fibreglass but could b a pain in the arse really.

Ideas? Clio 172 cup by the way

thanks for any advice

i have just finished my kickpods in my clio - and same size mids as yours.

why not put the 5.25 and tweeters in kicks, then the 6" in the doors, leave the second set of tweeters out for a bit, once kicks are angled correctly, and i sound stage is too low use the 2nd set of tweeters in the a pillars to raise the stage (sometimes crossed over very high, eg 15k works well)

If you will run all, effectivly a 4 way system, what x over are you using?

The 6in mids and tweeters are already housed in the doors, which dont sound bad. I like your kick pods but i have clumsy legs! and the missus would probably end up smashing them when shes in it!

Would like the 2nd tweeters in A pillar, which just leaves the 5.1/4 mids. But still dont know where they will fit! reallt cant find room in the front footwells that be safe for me, so need somewhere else. Anyone seen speakers in the top of the dash?

No x over mate other than those that came with the speakers, using a TOTR pioneer head unit with a goodb built in EQ. Actually looking for a decent multi speaker equaliser this afternoon, anyone recomend any?

Cheers

id recomened arc audio - but youd have to go to http://www.nearfield.co.ukwww.nearfield.co.uk as they are the UK distributor.

As for the mids, wrap the mids in a small towel, and try them in different places - i really want to try to make pods against the a-pillars- that would be cool!!
