Mr Dealer, did you change my Auxilary Belt?

Hi All

Was looking through my service book the other day and the service at 36K did not show the Auxilary Belt as being changed. I have just bought my 172 with 50K on the clock. This has me a little worried that it may have been overlooked or mistaken for the 72k Cambelt schedule. Is there any way to check that the Auxilary belt has been changed and is not the original one for when the car was new?

Ive got a 6 month full warrenty with the garage I bought it from. If I can prove that the belt was not changed at 36K ive got a good chance of getting it changed via this warrenty.

They might have just missed stamping the book.

id get it done, tell the garage to do ti anyway and show you the belt, if its worn get in warrenty if not you pay, it will be£££ but peace of mind
