Muki Suspension, (affordable leda)

http://www.muki.co.uk/shop/index.html

After recently getting a set of leda coilovers and experiencing the quality, performance and customer service leda gave me, I thought I would post up this product that they have recently started producing.

With the prohibitive cost of there coilovers this looks like a more affordable option. They currently only do clio mk1 16v kits but as they are a UK based company it may be good (reduced cost!) for someone to have a set developed on a mk2.

Just a thought. I have personally no experience with this product but as said based on the coilovers they supplied me with they know there suspension.

Mark, I arranged for a forum member to have a kit fitted to their car for testing.....she was very happy with the end result. http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=97951&highlight=leda

The kits are made by Manufacturing UK Italy (MUKI)...all of the design work was carried out by Leda and the company producing them are reputable and have been manufacturing suspension for many years.

Note to anyone interested; I am able to sell these kits on behalf of Leda at discount for cliosport members :)

^^Gary is the man to ask then.

Have they got plans for developeing 172/182 kits?

It does look like a good idea as you have the option of upgrading the units to coilovers at a later date if you want to.

I couldnt see any pics of the units on there website have you got or can you get some pics to illustrate what the units look like?

Nope unfortunately not, they are currently putting all the literature together as they finalise the kits. As for the 172/182....dont see why not :)

Its a very innovative product; basically the spring platform (standard diameter) is on a keyway so you can raise and lower it by adding/removing spacers under the platform. There is also the option of using the OE spring or an uprated one. In this form they are pretty much an effective way of lowering your car as much or as little as you want without ruining the ride quality and handling. The dampers are non adjustable but are uprated and obviously of very high quality and there is the option of upgrading the body to a coilover style unit as and when you can afford it.

So all in all an interesting and clever product really :)
